Mary Grayson & Russell

From our first meeting, it was clear that our bride loved all things gold and she immediately gravitated towards handmade paper. During that meeting, we also learned that the groom loves to go fishing and made sure to keep that little fact in the back of our minds throughout the design process. A couple of weeks after our meeting, the bride texted us a picture of her wedding dress during her fitting and Loly immediately knew what she wanted to create for this couple! The dress became the inspiration for the save the date design! The gown was the Oscar de la Renta’s Fern wedding dress! Loly hand-drew fern patterns inspired the lace in the dress and pressed them into handmade paper to create a one-of-kind design! At that point, the guests (and the groom) had no idea that they had gotten a little preview of the bride’s dress! Everyone just assumed it was a pretty design.

For the wedding invitation suite products, we used custom handmade paper that was embedded with small gold flakes to create a luxurious and elegant feel. We paired it with handmade silk ribbon and custom gold wax seals. For the postage collection, we made sure to incorporate a fishing stamp for our groom. We also incorporated a soccer stamp for our bride, an incredibly athlete, and an Alabama stamp for our couple!

When it came time to work on the day of items, we knew that we wanted to re-incorporate our fern patterns into menus and man were we happy that we did! It was an incredible surprise for the guests as they realized the save-the-dates had given them a preview of the dress! Throughout the night, guests kept commenting on it, delighted to have noticed this small detail!

We were so glad to be a part of such a beautiful and personalized celebration. We loved creating bespoke and unique paper products that perfectly matched the bride's style and made the wedding even more special. The incorporation of the bride's dress and her love for gold added personal and charming touches that made the wedding truly memorable.
